Position Objectives:
- Strategically design and implement information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions (BSS-OSS-CRM-IT-Asset Management) and assure their high availability.
- This individual will gain organizational commitment for all technology and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans.
- In addition, the Solutions Architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision-making down to the project planning level.

Strategy & Planning
- Act as visionary and strategist for solution area in ((BSS-OSS-CRM-IT-Asset Management)
- Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate technology and software.
- Ensure that proposed and existing solution architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Business Analysts, Business System Analysts, Systems Engineers, other Architects, and software development teams.
- Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in solutions architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and systems flexibility.
- Survey the market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors and methods.
- Speak at trade conferences and seek authorship opportunities in trade publications.
- Write, or direct the writing of white papers that add further insight and thought in the solution area.
- Lead development of formalized solution methodologies.
- Build and maintain a repository for deliverables and methodologies.
- Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions.
- Document and maintain the organization's existing solutions architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and alternatives.
- Review new and existing solutions design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural procedures.
- Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, vendors and IT stakeholders to provision estimates and develop an overall implementation plan for installation, customization and integration efforts.
- Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation.
- Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area.
- Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems (including interfaces) and infrastructure development.
- Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
- Work with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation.
- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
- Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage a systems capacity plan.
- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing technology and software as necessary.
- Provide mentoring or guidance to junior members of the team.
- Establish, manage and run the architecture review board.
- Supports the architectural aspects of all application projects in peer IT portfolios.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar essential.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar position within a Telecom Operator
- TOGAF 9 Certified essential.
- COBIT 5 Foundation desirable.
- ITIL v3 Foundation desirable.
- Ability to develop logical detailed test scenarios.
